Back to the Future

I'm loving this photographic project from Argentine photographer Irina Werning where she gets people to reenact photographic images from their childhood!

Have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to-Me I'm going to try and catch some of the Oscars ...I'm for team 'The Social Network' , for best supporting actor Geoffrey Rush ( The Kings Speech) and best actress for Annette Bening in 'The kids Are Alright'. Medici Greeting Cards

Many months ago I was approached by the renowned greeting card Medici to use some of my images. I was sooo thrilled and flattered ! After many talks, meetings and discussions the cards are in print ! So at last I have in my hands the lovely collection from Medici greeting cards featuring my 13 of my images ! I'm so happy with them and how they look !

You can see more in my shop here and in Not on the High Street.

Great News !!

My dearest friends a couple of weeks ago I hinted about some exciting news..Well I can say now that the lovely Stationery chain Paperchase have purchased some of my images which will be in the shops later this year! I'm so excited, for me it is a great honor as I'm always stocking up on their diaries and notebooks. Paperchase is very big in the UK but also in The Netherlands and Dubai. I'll keep you informed when they are in the shops :-)

Home Inspiration-Swedish Style

My passion for Swedish decor goes a while back when I had my first apartment and decided to paint & distress all my furniture white - ignoring the constant banter from my friends commenting that I myself was going to end up looking white too ! Years on I still get just as passionate when sourcing for inspiration and come across lovely images such as the ones above collected for my scrap book... aren't they so dreamy?

Images are from Debi Treloar, Living etc and via sfgirlbyday.

Have a lovely weekend whatever your plans are :-)

25 Foot Flower Sculptures

Mrng! I thought I'd share with you this image of the installation called The Roses by artist Will Ryman which is currently on Park Avenue, New York. The sculpture consists of 30 giant pink and red roses, along with bees, ladybugs and beetles. I can't wait to find time to discover this amazing city !

Cupcakes For Tea?

As some of you might know by now I love the English tradition of an afternoon cup of tea and cake, although I think this is a more visual feast and a time to catch up with friends than anything else!

This week I was thrilled when I had a request from a client to shoot cupcakes; I've spent all weekend taking hundreds of images of these lovely cakes I bought from a very talented lady that makes them, Vanilla Rose Cakes- it has been a difficult task not to fall into the temptation to have one or two!!

Having finished my task we are off to see our afternoon Sunday movie, The King's Speech.

I hope your weekend is a good one so far :-)

Morning Frost

Although I tend to complain many times about the weather and missing my sunshine, I must admit I do like the fact that we have four seasons and what they all bring to nature. The colors, textures, sounds , smells, temperature are part of what define each season. This morning as I was having my coffee contemplating out of the window I saw this lovely frost captured by my plants and got me thinking how much garden needs TLC ....mmm..How long for Springtime? :-)

New Logo

I'm pleased to announce that I finally organized myself and got myself a logo! I know it has taken its time but I had to find one that I loved ! Luckily I stumbled this amazing designer called Michelle from Swept Away Designs based in the United States. Her portfolio has a great variety of lovely & very creative designs to suit all types of businesses . You can check more of her work here .

Just a Bit of News...

My dear friends I have some amazing news but I cant share with you all until I have signed the dotted line. All I can say is that involves a major stationary retail company that I have always been a fan of :-)

Kato and Woody

I hope you all have had a lovely xmas time and a chance to chill with friends and family. We were snowed in so had a quiet one whilst our lovely cats Kato and Woody had fun exploring and investigating all the snow in the garden. We got them from our local rescue centre, Diana Brimblecombe back in the summer and they have been so lovely to have around. I know it is a personal choice where your animals come from but I so much encourage and highly recommend animals that need a home. It is so rewarding and fun!

Tracking Santa

This website is lovely for the kids that would like to track Santa's travels. With language options to choose from so no one can miss out (It helps if you have google earth on your computer to see it on 3D)Enjoy and make sure you have the volume on to hear the music...

Ice Skating @ Somerset House

Every year I have managed to miss the lovely annual Ice skating ring at Somerset house but I am determined to try and take a visit this time ( snow permitting! )

They have different programs to offer to suit everyone ; Friday and Saturday Dj nights, Wheelchair sessions, Student discounts and Breakfast with Tiffany Saturday mornings. Free entry for one child with every adult and everyone gets a Tiffany Cupcake, with a free hot chocolate for the kids and a glass of Champagne for the grown ups ! Sounds fabulous and very festive but unfortunately Matt and I are both very clumsy and accident prone so I think we'll just have to take a stroll and take the atmosphere in from afar :-)
