My Sunday Movie...

Having been busy with xmas and Top Drawer show I haven't been able to get back into my Sunday afternoon routine of catching a movie. As some of you may know, that afternoon is sacred for me! Thankfully yesterday I managed to go to the cinema and see Milk. The true story of Harvey Milk that changed history with his courage and determination to fight for human rights. In 1977, Harvey Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, becoming the first openly gay man to be voted into public office in America. He not only fought for gay rights but for senior citizens to union workers. Sadly he was assassinated in 1978 but remained a hero for all Americans...I loved this movie and has now given me a better understanding of San Francisco culture.Sean Penn absolutely brilliant acting deserves, in my opinion the Oscar that he has been nominated for! I highly recommend this movie to any of you that may be considering to see it...enjoy and happy Monday !

They call it mellow yellow.........

Yellow Roses for financial wealth..

Lovely lemons to cleanse the soul..

Yellow flower for a bit of Sunshine in your life...
For those that might be suffering a little bit with the "winter blues", I thought I'd inspire some with some happy yellow colours for a great kick start to 2009. They say yellow is a very inspiring, creative colour and that yellow roses bring luck with financial wealth...for me I needed to add some happiness to the cold new year ...........

Happy New 09 to you all!I'm sure like me you must be thinking that xmas was long ago and where has the time gone ! As we go into a new year with time for reflection & soul searching I have been reflecting on the past year events which have taken a lot of my time in the last couple of days ( I know I think far too much sometimes, so I've been told ...) That said I thought I'd compile some images that were most memorable for me in my 2008, which are indubitably our trip to South Africa; Leaving me now dreaming up of another vacation for 2009 as the snowflakes keep on falling outside my window...

Getting into xmas spirit @ home...

Last night I thought I'd take a couple of quick snapshots to let you in our Christmas home. Personally I love fairy lights, which I intend to get more off and put them all around the house to give that kind off magical and cosy feel @ home. I have read somewhere that if you spray them in gold or silver it gives a nicer lighting, I think that's what I'll be doing this wknd...I hope wherever you are you all have a lovely and magical weekend :-)
