A day of chillin...

Last week has been total madness with tons of work deadlines and socialising six evenings in a row!
Today  was national holiday here in the UK, so I took the opportunity to sit in the sunshine with a cup of tea and a good book - total indulgence ! Tomorrow back in the studio to prepare stock for this coming Saturday's art fair...How was your weekend?

Malvern Hills Escapade

Back from Malvern after a 24 hr visit to our lovely friends, kids and dogs- Just what the doctor ordered after non stop work in the studio ( literally ! ) I'm now  ready to create new designs, projects and paintings for my upcoming online shop
This morning we were all up so early that a walk in the famous Malvern Hills beckoned. Having never been up there, the nearly mountainous landscape and wild flowers evoked all sort of sweet childhood memories from my Easter vacations in the Spanish Pyrenees. And, yes !! Although the images might give you an idea we are in the middle of Autumn here in England, this is what a British summer actually looks like ! :-)

An Englishman in New York: Photographic Exhibition -Jason Bell

Liam Neason

Kate Winslet

Zoe Heller

If you happen to be in London this weekend you might want to pop in the National Portrait Gallery and check the current photographic exhibition"An Englishman in New York" by Jason Bell. British born photographer living in New york was inspired by some of the 120,000 British men and women living in the big Apple. Jason has photographed leading figures setting the cultural agenda in the city such as; Kate Winslet, Writter Zoe Heller and Sting are to name a few. The exhibition runs until 11 of April 2011.
Have a great weekend whatever you are doing, the sunshine is great here but I'm afraid is a work all weekend for me preparing for my exhibition in London next week.

A few days away...

Hi to all and I hope things have been good for you. Back now from a few days away in my beloved hometown, Barcelona. We also had the great opportunity to stay a few days in the lovely village Taradell, a few kilometres outside the city. Idyllic countryside & village strolls with lovely wood burning aroma coming from the farm fireplaces against the cold breeze and beaming sunshine with too many coffee & pastry stops are now a mere distant memory ...back to my cups of tea, Computer and yep you've guessed it - dreaming up my next holiday break !

Since I'm on the theme of lovely, cool homes I thought I'd introduce you to this FABULOUS site. Matt and I met the creators of this amazing site at a mutual friends wedding, Mel & Piers a couple of months ago. I highly recommend you to check this site & if like me you are always with the passport and suitcase " ready to go" on a holiday break, you will be very tempted on what Loving apartments has to offer! - gorgeous and individual apartments to suit all taste and prices in fabulous locations... so if you fancy a holiday break in Europe this Christmas why not have a peek here.
