Hi to all..
It has been a long time since I've been here..time flies!
So many exciting projects going on that I can't talk about at present! But what I can tell you is about my new Etsy shop. At weekends when I find time I dedicate it to either take photos or paint abstract paintings, whatever the mood takes me...lately it has been painting, mainly due to the fact that the miserable weather hasn't been very inviting to go outdoors with the camera.

After many people commenting on my paintings and offering to buy them I thought I'd open a shop in Etsy dedicated to my Art and canvas reproductions (some of you might remember the blue painting nominated as best artwork of the week by art365.com ). You can view more here , although this is the beginning of more to come ..so watch this space !

Happy New 2010!

Here we are with a new decade ahead and very much looking forward to spring !!

We have 50cm of snow and are kind of stuck ! It is so beautiful and never seen so much snow but the thought of seeing all the flowers blooming and sitting in the garden with a nice cold drink, book & BBQ going is very appealing at present !! ;-)

Time has flown away since I last wrote in this page!!.. I've been sooooooooo super busy with so many Christmas exhibitions that now as I'm looking forward to the New Year !

Sorry for my absence but the forthcoming show Spirit of Christmas has taken over my life in my studio 24/7 . Preparing for the show, coming up with new products and ideas I came across some images I have taken in my travels, so the new page on my site was born here....more to come in the future ( all I need is more time to travel !!)

If in London...

If you are going to be in London in the next couple of weeks you might be interested in checking out an exhibition of photographs by Leo Fuchs featuring Paul Newman. His images capture some of Newmans intimate moments never seem before. The exhibition runs untill 23 October and you can see it in Proud Camdem South Gallery.

New Prints !

Although we have Autumn leaves & unpredictable weather, somehow my garden flowers are still holding up! So I took the opportunity to photograph them before too late.You can see them in my little shop as prints, canvas or cards.

I must get on with my furniture painting before it rains!... :-)

A new look...

Having been absent to this blog is due to a lot of work lately, specially preparing for the major exhibition at House and Gardens Spirit of Christmas, London. A lot of preparation is involved including the layout of the stand which will have to be displayed as a shop for five days. Last week I went hunting for ideas and found this furniture in my local second hand shops so this weekend I shall be painting and revamping them..lets see what I come up with ;-)

New ! Picture Frames

Thanks to my lovely client Eloise I got myself organized to set up a picture frame section on my shop. Somehow I never got round of putting it all together but the intention was there!...so if you need to frame your prints here it is ;-)

My Sunday Movie...

As seasons change so does ones habits...no more summer days enjoying the outdoors so back to my Sunday afternoon movie routine...My movie choice was Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. An indie movie set in New York that takes you through Nick an Norah's night journey in a quest to find the secret gig of their favourite band and end up finding each other. I didn't know what to expect but loved it so much that it was like seeing so many flashbacks of my teenage nights when so many things go wrong and crazy things happen! I recommend it to those that want to go back in time for an hour an a half an reminiscence of those good, uncomplicated, carefree & fun days ;-)

New Diary Dates...

Well...here I am getting my little routine back to normal after what was a very hectic summer. I hope your summer was good and had more sunshine where you were than we had!

Now feeling ready for another very busy couple of months ahead before Christmas time with three exhibitions to prepare so far...

Lovers nest...

Well... the last couple of weeks I have been absent from this little blog diary as Matt & I got married!. After the lovely day we went off for a couple of days for a mini honeymoon in Wales- Our proper honeymoon will take place in October as both busy with work commitments etc...
We stayed in this lovely little cottage in the middle of nowhere with stunning views and cute cat visitors called "lentil" and "chickpea" which weren't impressed with our cat ( that we had taken with us too in this unique vegetarian cottage!! )

All that Jazz!

Yesterday it was such a beautiful day that it made a perfect day to take some shots of Sara, super amazing trumpet player and as I discovered later in the day fabulous singer too !!
We had great fun and I think the locals in the park appreciated the sound of some beautiful jazz notes blending in sporadically amongst the bird twittering in the background...although perhaps made them a little bit confused too ! ;-)

I would love it if we had some parties like this in the UK...if anyone knows of any, please let me know..not that I'm a good dancer at all ;-))

Good old charity shops..

Looking through my apartment last night I realized that most of my house decor is either being given to me, purchased on my travels, found in flea markets or charity shops. I personally think you can get more of an individual look and reflect your own personality that way than decorating your home with brand names from top to bottom-each to their own though.

This week I'm going to create a post collection of some of my most treasured finds. So today I start by paying homage to the good old charity shops. Last week I was on my way to get some milk when I got distracted and bought more than a few tea sets that I had in mind in my local charity shop ( having been spotted by my mother as we were driving in the car the day before...-she never misses a trick !) Although, funnily enough I spotted the cabinet a few months ago in the car as Matt was driving the car...so mother like daughter I suppose, which incidentally I got the cabinet for good old £5 !! So when you are next walking or driving pass a charity shop do have a peek as you never know what little treasures you might find and also you are helping some charity fund for a good cause.
