Welcome to le Petite Studio!

Hi! It has been a long time I know, but life is so busy right now that five minutes sometimes is difficult to find!
I have been working on countless projects that I don't know where to start so I'll tell you in little sections throughout the next few days so not to be an information overload in one post!
I'll start by telling you that I have been setting up a new studio which is fabulous and feel very lucky to be able to detach myself from working in the house and work full on, the problem now is to be able to know when to stop working!

 As I have mentioned before, I have re branded as my work has evolved with time and now I'm  doing what I really enjoy - lifestyle &am; studio portraits and food photography ( Price list can be seen here)
Also I have been signed up by an international food image company, which I'm very excited to be working with ! As I'll produce food images, now and again I'll do a recipe story around it here on the Blog and If I get to find time, I'll also work on some personal social documentary projects that I have in mind.

New Props and Backdrops..

New week, new projects and  new collections of images for the upcoming image licensing purchasing seasons. Today it has been a day of creating props and backdrops, is gonna be a busy week producing food photography and images for wall decor/greeting cards !!

New Photo Studio Coming Soon..

Hi all! Finally I have found five minutes to post a  photo of my new studio. This image shows the initial stages and although I'm still working on the last touches, I thought I'd give you an idea of what is like...I am super excited and will post the final images when I'm done in a few weeks!
Meantime we are of to Germany tomorrow to visit Bavaria, friends and family, have a good week everyone X0XO

A little peek into my workspace....

Today I have been updating my 'about ' pages in all my websites  which also includes an image of my studio. This is a little peak into my workspace where I usually sit and write my blog, edit photos and write emails to some of you out there.
There is a window on the left which I usually leave open to hear the birds melodies come through which I find very relaxing when  I need  a quiet time to reflect on errands. Various radio stations also filter through the day from Buenos Aires, Barcelona and UK and my collection of ITunes soundtracks when I need inspiration.
Above in the shelves is a collection of my diaries, ideas and sketch books. Bellow on the wall images is an eclectic mix of photographs; inspirational images, Woody Allen, childhood memories and some of my travel images from South Africa and Buenos Aires. Also a photograph of my father sits there as it is the closest I can have him since he passed away. I use the mug from NY everyday when I have my coffee to remind me I did visit the city and it wasn't all a dream!

Today the sun is shinning through my window and inspiration is in full flow as six paintings are in production in my studio!! It feels good! I hope your day is a good one too :-)

Thank you to all your lovely comments and emails about my previous post with reference to other work spaces and thank you for letting you share with us your lovely creative places, which I thought it only had to be fair to include mine, where I seem to spend most of my days in there at the moment...in the sofa you can see my lovely cat, Pasha, that keeps me company in his own way that is as he sleeps 24/7...Bless !

Hi, I'm back to my Blogging at last! ...It has been a couple of manic weeks with my work at the Studio. As I was working all the long hours on my own in the Studio with the company of my lovely cat now and again wondering in and music in the background to keep me sane, I thought of other people like me that are in other parts of the world working from the studio on their creative projects, so after a long search in Flickr I thought I'd share with you a compilation of lovely images from other work spaces reflecting the work and personality of each individual. I hope they bring you some inspiration too and make us realise we are not alone ! ;-)
