Last night as we were on our road trip to Oxford listening to the radio I so much wanted to listen to Jamie Cullum talking to Clint Eastwood about their love of Jazz. Clint is so passionate about the music that had asked Jamie to work with him on the soundtrack for Gran Torino. I love Jazz but somehow Matt decided to say it was like listening to 'elevator/furniture showroom music !! Well we agreed to disagree as somehow I will never get to love Bob Dylan :-)

I have great fond memories of my childhood at our home in Barcelona with the sound of music always playing in our record player.It was my father that introduced me to Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles. Since then my love of Jazz has grown with the years. I love to listen to it in the background when I'm working, cooking, painting or reading a book. Jazz is great for background music for lazy Sundays whilst having brunch or a summer evening in the garden sipping some margaritas with some friends, personally it always sets a mood for me. But to my regret I don't have a great knowledge of the great world of Jazz musicians, so to my delight as I'm typing away a new weekly radio programme has started with Jamie Cullum presenting a show of his favourites followed by Tony Bennett later on in the evening .Great! At last I'll be able to not just enjoy this fabulous melody but also extend my knowledge and music library...Happy days...:-)

Inspirational music

As a new week commences and it is the start of ideas, design and production for all of us working away from our studio, I thought I'd highly recommend the latest cd from BajoFondo Tango Club for those that need music to help with the creative mood to flow and flourish as I do...
A great team of excellent musicians from Argentina and Uruguay playing electronic contemporary Tango music with the obvious genres of Murga and Millonga coming through.
Bajofondo is for those passionate about music, Tango, Latin and those willing to try something new and different, Give it a try you might like it!
Any music recommendations welcome too as I am always looking for new music to listen too...

Having been a big fan of Crowded House music many years ago, am so glad to see them making a comeback! The song "She Called Up" I find seriously catchy and the video with the kids singing is a must, Enjoy !
