Selfridges this year have got an urban feel to the display which I found very original and contemporary... I couldn't help it to snap away a few pics to share with you all, although I was one amongst many with the same thought! And- yes! definitely, they did get the eye catching concept of their brief!

My Sunday Movie...

It was the perfect Sunday to stay indoors : Beautiful Autumn colours as a backdrop view from my windows, windy with a lot of heavy rain and homemade cookies. Being a little bit homesick, I decided to watch a film I had been meaning to for a long time but somehow never managed to. Belle Epoque was shot in 1992 wich won an Oscar for the best foreign film by Spanish film director Fernando Trueba. An original storyline, beautifully shot with great Spanish humour that I was so much missing...

Coming soon- Online shop !
It has been a couple of weeks of non stop work, but I'm pleased to say that it is not long now for my new online shop to be launched. Lookout too for my website as it is having a makeover by the wonderful and very talented Dani who has designed it all and that I can't thank enough! So watch this space in the next couple of days...Tuesday, 21 October 2008
My Sunday Movie...
Some of you may know I have a regular spot of my Sunday movie...& for my love of Woody Allen. This Sunday I saw Cassandra's Dream. Not one of his best, but I still think he is brilliant at script writing with original dialogue and plots. There were mixed reviews in the media, but personally I loved it...call me biased ;-)

I'm Back .....
Well...here I'm back after months away from my little cyberspace journal due to a sad tragedy in my life. Life has its moments that hit us from nowhere and have to deal with it consequently making us stronger, is part of our make up. What it's important is how we get to deal with it, which is with the love and support of family and amazing friends ( you all know who you are) that's when you get to realize what life is really about, the rest is quite irrelevant. So a little thought for the weekend, think of those that are important to you and the little things they do for you and enjoy them and their love , sometimes we get to forget and just focus with everyday mundane things, I one- guilty.
Have a good weekend and see you here next week with postings of new designs and finds.

Work Spaces
Dear Sukie, yvestown, veronica TM, Los ojos
Hi, I'm back to my Blogging at last! ...It has been a couple of manic weeks with my work at the Studio. As I was working all the long hours on my own in the Studio with the company of my lovely cat now and again wondering in and music in the background to keep me sane, I thought of other people like me that are in other parts of the world working from the studio on their creative projects, so after a long search in Flickr I thought I'd share with you a compilation of lovely images from other work spaces reflecting the work and personality of each individual. I hope they bring you some inspiration too and make us realise we are not alone ! ;-)

My Sunday Movie...
For my Sunday movie at last I got to see La Vie en Rose. An outstanding performance by Marion Cotillard giving a great homage to one of France's most beloved singers, Edith Piaf. Visually stunning film about an amazing life story of a great woman with such a sad life.I personally loved this film and highly recommend it. A well deserved Oscar for the best actress of 2008.

Street Photography
I must tell you all that after writing the last post I've been looking through some of my old photos to submit for the Street or Studio at the Tate in collaboration with Flickr. So far I've found this image that I took in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia a year ago...I remember I was strolling through this busy area when I saw the cyclists with the caption on the bus going by " free flow of friends", it was one of those moments of quickly looking through the bag to find the camera and do an instant touch on the button, all I can say I'm glad I managed to get it time!Thursday, 19 June 2008

Spring Fair News Article

Thank you so much to Rachael Taylor for writing an article on the Spring Fair News page about me & my forthcoming online retail store coming soon . You can read it here .
My Sunday movie...
Many of you know from my previous post, Sunday afternoon is my movie time, although this weekend I had to give it a miss in order to celebrate friends birthdays, Mel and Piers ( fab friends & hosts, which was lovely to spend quality time with them) so as my regular posting of movie talk, I thought I'd mention my anticipated excitement for Woody Allen's forthcoming movie set in Barcelona. Those that know me very well will know by now I'm a huge Woody fan ( I know - you either love him or not ) but to me he is a genius & to have a movie set in one of my hometowns that is very close to my heart with one of my favourite Spanish actors Javier Bardem , well what can I say ??...The name of the movie is Vicky Cristina Barcelona . I shall post the date of cinema release when announced for those Woody Allen fans...Have a good week.

Back to normality..

Here I am back to my posting which I have missed, but other events had to take priority, so I had to neglect my little diary for sometime...The main reason for my last couple of weeks dominating my diary 24/7 was the exhibition that took place in Earls Court, London, earlier this week for three days, Pulse . I'm glad to say it was fantastic show not just for business but meeting lovely people that made the long days fun too...now back to my studio to work work work.... Have a good weekend to all.

What a lovely story.....

Reading through other Blogs I came across this fabulous story featured in the Blog A cup of Jo . The story goes that a guy in Atlanta tied a disposable camera to a bench with a note saying to take photos, have fun and he would be back later on the afternoon to pick up the camera...amazingly when he went back the camera was still there with the roll of film completed !! These are the results !! How much fun !! you can see them all here.
